The woman behind the words

  • Heeey girl, Hey!!
  • Do me a quick favor, will ya?
    Close your eyes.
Imagine you’re at a stoplight, windows cracked on a beautiful sunny summer day to allow some of that fresh air into the car. You’re sitting there, staring at the light, trying to will it to turn green.

  • “Come on, Come on…COOOOMMMEEEE on!”

  • Then, the pounding of the beat from the music of the car next to you vibrates your ears, you slowly turn your head to see what in the world is going on.

  • Right there next to you sits a woman. Bopping her massive messy bun along to the beat. Swaying from side to side, waving her arms in a circle stretched out over her head while snapping her fingers sassily. Singing, off-key, as loudly as she can. Putting on an all-out concert in her car that you feel like you should be paying to watch…
  • That’s me.

  • So if that brought a smile to your face, You may be in the right place.

  • I am just Stormy Jean. A woman who is learning to live her best life, unapologetically authentically herself. I am a single mother of two teenage boys working two jobs to make shit happen, because that’s what I do, make shit happen. It hasn’t always been this way though. It’s been one helluva journey to get here. But I am here. Writing has been my escape from reality as well as my personal therapy for as long as I can remember. For the past few years, I have been interested in starting a blog, but something always told me it wasn’t the right time.
  • That something was my intuition.

  • She knew that I had not fully stepped into my authentic self and had not truly found the voice that would speak my truth.

  • Now that I have found my footing and started to clear my throat chakra, it’s time to share my experience and find my people.
This community will be dedicated to me sharing my story with you as vulnerability is my superpower. So if you’re interested in finding your way back to yourself through self-love, accountability, and spirituality… Take a look around. Dig through the random brain dumps of a recovering codependent as narrated by none other than me. If your spirit calls you to stick around for a while, please do so. If it’s not for you, I’m grateful for your time and maybe we will meet up again somewhere further down the road. Either way, I wish you love on your journey.
